Our platform provides our readers with high-quality, alluring, innovative, thought-provoking, and inclusive content. Please review the following guidelines before submitting your content to ensure a smooth submission process.

General Guidelines

  • Original Content: All articles must be 100% original and not published elsewhere. We do not accept previously published or plagiarized content.

  • Relevance: Articles should align with the pageant and/or fashion industries, and fall within one of our content departments found HERE. We welcome content that offers valuable insights, practical tips, or expert perspectives on these subjects.

  • Tone and Style: Articles should be well-written, engaging, easy to read, and free of errors. Maintain a professional tone, but feel free to add personality and creativity where appropriate!

  • Length: We accept articles ranging from 800 to 2,000 words, depending on the complexity of the topic and the type of submission.

  • Citations: All factual information must be accurately cited with credible sources. Use hyperlinks to refer to sources when necessary.

 

Formatting Guidelines

  • Title: Include a compelling and concise title (no more than 70 characters) that captures the essence of your article.

  • Subheadings: Use subheadings where appropriate to break up your content and improve readability.

  • Paragraphs: Keep paragraphs short (3-5 sentences) and use bullet points or numbered lists to make your content easy to skim when possible.

  • Formatting:  Text should be typed in black "Avenir Light" font.

  • Proofing:  Please ensure that all material submitted is free of typographical and grammatical errors.

 

Images

  • Images: If you provide images, ensure they are high-quality and properly sourced. Include captions and credit the image owner if necessary.

  • All images submitted must be free of logos, watermarks, and other advertising.

  • Images should be high-resolution 300dpi, and attached to the submission email in JPEG file format.

  • Standard Articles: Includes up to two (2) small photos.

  • Feature: Includes one (1) small photo and one (1) large photo.

 

Submission Process

  1. Using the appropriate department link on our home page, send your article as a Google Doc or Word document attached to the email--including images as appropriate. Include a short author's bio (2-3 sentences) with your submission.

  2. For standard articles and features, an invoice for payment will be returned to your email.  Payment is required within 48hrs of receipt.

  3. Review Process: Our editorial team will review your article and provide feedback or request revisions if necessary. We aim to respond within 7-10 business days.  Revisions requested MUST be returned to our editorial team within 48hrs of the request.

  4. Publication: we’ll notify you with the expected publication date. Minor edits may be made for clarity or SEO purposes.

 

Author Rights

  • By submitting your article, you agree to grant Elemental Magazine the rights to publish and promote it across our platform.

  • Once the Elemental Magazine issue has published, you may republish the article on your personal blog or website, but please include a backlink to the original article on our site.

 

Prohibited Content

We do not accept content that:

  • Promotes illegal activities or violence.

  • Is discriminatory, hateful, or offensive.

  • Contains explicit promotional or affiliate links.
